Quick Troubleshooting for Temperature Profiler
(Furnace Temperature Tester)
1. Inaccurate temperature / Large deviation
- Thermocouple type does not match instrument setting (K/J/T mismatch)
- Poor contact, oxidation, or broken solder joint on thermocouple
- Probe not tightly attached to product, measuring air instead
- Instrument not calibrated for a long time
Solution: Check type → Re-fix probe → Calibrate
2. Erratic curve / Data dropouts
- Damaged, shorted, or loose thermocouple wire
- Loose connector, water or flux contamination
- Damaged channel
Solution: Test another channel → Replace thermocouple → Dry connector
3. Instrument fails to power on
- Dead battery or poor contact
- Water damage or moisture
Solution: Charge/replace battery → Keep dry
4. Cannot start recording / No sampling
- Start mode not set (temperature trigger / manual start)
- Start temperature set too high
Solution: Use manual start → Lower start temperature
5. No data on PC / Cannot read data
- Poor USB/data cable connection
- Wrong instrument model selected in software
- Data not fully recorded or ended abnormally
Solution: Reconnect cable → Restart software → Retest
6. Instrument overheats / Damaged inside furnace
- Damaged thermal barrier box
- Placed near hot air or high-temperature area
Solution: Check insulation → Replace thermal material
7. Individual channel shows 0 / No change
- Thermocouple open circuit
- Damaged channel socket
Solution: Replace probe → Test another channel
Quick Check Mnemonic
Inaccurate? Check probe.Erratic? Check wiring. No power? Check battery. No data? Check settings.Damaged? Check insulation.Bad channel? Replace it.
